Text Box: 11.5% increase from last year.  This increase is attributed to the greater number of adults enrolled in adult programs.  Overall, 51 full time VTC team members and 20 part time employees contributed to another very successful year serving both the youth and adults of our area. Our safety record was excellent with no (0) student or staff  lost time accidents. Our cooperative education coordinator made an 86 placements of secondary students in jobs related to their career objectives.  Our inside programs operated on a budget amount of approximately 3.2 million dollars while outside (other than taxpayer funded) programs such as adult education, Perkins, etc. ran on about a 1.7 million dollar budget. So, the total budget was approximately 4.9 million dollars. Currently the Center has a total fixed assets value of about 18 million dollars. 

Performance 

Our most significant measure of success in secondary programs comes from the results of the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) tests.  71% of the VTC students who took the test scored “basic” or above in May, 2007, compared with an 81% above basic rate of May, 2006.  This 10% decrease may be attributed to the increased diversity of the population of students who took the test.  Our primary accountability goal for the 2006-2007 school year was to be above the state
