Venango Technology Center Practical Nursing Program
CARES #2- Institutional Portion Reporting
Venango Technology Center has been allocated funds from the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The CARES Act was established and funded by the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund (HEERF) to provide emergency financial aid grants. The following documentation addresses the reporting requirements of the CARES Act.
- An acknowledgement that the institution signed and returned to the Department, the Certification and Agreement, and the assurance that the institution has used or intends to use, no less than 50 percent of the funds received under Section 18004(a (1) and 18004(c) to cover costs associated with the significant changes to the delivery of instruction due to COVID-19.
CARES #2 Certification and Agreement was signed and submitted on 5/19/2020.
- The total amount of funds that the institution will receive or has received from the Department pursuant to the institution’s Certification and Agreement [for] Emergency Financial Aid Grants to Students and institution costs associated with the significant changes to the delivery of instruction due to COVID-19.
CARES #2 was submitted to grants.gov for Venango Technology Center to receive $67,058. CARES #2 was received in Venango Technology Center’s G5 account on 5/11/2020.
- The total amount of Emergency Financial Aid Grants distributed to students under Section 18004(a) (1) of the CARES Act as of the date of submission (i.e., as of the 30-day Report and every 45 days thereafter).
CARES #2 funds are allocated for institutional expenses related to the disruption of campus activity.
- The estimated total number of students at the institution eligible to participate in the program under Section 484 in Title IV of the Higher Education Act of 1965 and thus eligible to receive Emergency Financial Aid Grants to students under Section 18004 (a)(1) of the CARES act.
Funds for CARES #2 are used for institutional expenses related to disruption of regular course delivery. See report of CARES Act #1 for further reporting on this item.
- The total number of students who have received an Emergency Financial Aid Grant to Students under Section 18004(a) (1) of the CARES Act.
