    WHAT: A hiring event wherein local employers will be on hand to talk with seniors looking for employment after graduation

    Joe Burdick Checkers Safety Group Industrial Memorial Scholarship  - $1,000 scholarship will be awarded annually to one senior at Venango Technology Center who is pursuing a post-secondary degree in an industrial/manufacturing related field.     Kevin Lewis Scholarship Fund - two award categories: Protective Services $750 and any other VTC program $500.     Gene Haas Foundation Scholarship Program - Senior in Venango Technology Center’s Machine Tool Technology Program pursuing a post-secondary degree in the field of CNC Machining.     Thomas “Tommy” Flinspach Memorial Scholarship 2024 - This scholarship is for a Welding Technology student who is currently graduating from Venango Technology Center and entering into an accredited school, the workforce, or the military.     Electralloy Senior Essay Contest 

    Write a 400 - 500 word essay on the following topic: "Who is the most influential person you know and how have they impacted your life?" 
    The essay is due to Ms. Campbell in Student Services no later than Wednesday, April 10, 2024. Open to seniors attending a school in Venango County. Four $500 awards are available. 

    James T. and Rose M. Perryman Family Foundation

    Very generous, renewable scholarship program for students pursuing STEM-related or nursing majors. There are three categories for scholarships:

    - Trade Schools for STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

    Examples: welding, machining, mechatronics, networking and automation.)

    - Nursing Programs, 2- and 4-year programs

    - College and University (for engineering, math, metals, and technology)

    Deadline is dependent of the category but earliest is March 30th. See website for specific details.

     

    Thomas W. O’Brien Memorial Scholarship

    The applicant must be a senior student enrolled in an approved secondary career and technical education program in Pennsylvania and planning to attend a post-secondary institution majoring in a career and technical field. The application can be obtained by going to www.cte.iup.edu/scholarship .

    Applications must be postmarked by Friday, March 29, 2024.

     

    Automotive Aftermarket Scholarships Central

    Features scholarships for students training to become automotive, heavy duty or collision repair technicians, as well as studying business, engineering or other courses of study as they relate to these fields.     Deadline to submit all materials is March 31, 2024. 


    JAY REYNOLDS MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP1 LAMBERTON SCHOLARSHIP1 and JOSEPH AGNELLO Scholarship {Sponsored by the Franklin Elks Lodge #110)

    The Jay Reynolds Memorial and the Lamberton scholarship are both $2,000.00 per year and are renewable for the Sophomore year. Applicants from any accredited high school in the Franklin Area School District, the Valley Grove School District, and A.C. Valley High School will be considered for the Lamberton Scholarship.

     

    The Joseph Agnello Scholarship is made possible through the generosity of DR. Joseph Agnello. This is a $2,500 scholarship and is renewable for up to four years. Applicants from Franklin, Rocky Grove and Venango Catholic high schools will be considered for this scholarship.
