AWS Student Chapter:

Active participation in an AWS Student Chapter provides the knowledge, experience and networking needed to begin a successful career. Through Student Chapter participation, you can learn and sharpen the skills needed for a successful career in the welding industry.

As an AWS Student Member, you can:

  • Learn about the latest industry trends, technology, and products in the award-winning Welding Journal digital magazine
  • Meet and network with other aspiring welders at a local AWS Student Chapter or online through the AWS Member Network Student Community with more than 8,000 members
  • Apply for an AWS Scholarship to receive tuition assistance for two-year, four-year, and vocational welder training programs
  • Prep for your career with free or discounted online courses and publications

The AWS MISSION is to advance the science, technology, and application of welding and allied joining and cutting processes worldwide, including brazing, soldering, and thermal spraying.
